Superstar tenor José Carreras has become a new GMN Family Artist – and he is currently singing Christmas favorites on the site.

GMN recorded the distinguished singer’s Christmas concert in London’s Royal Albert Hall this week, and selected tracks will be available from 18 December. The full concert with the London Symphony Orchestra and conductor David Gimenez will be available on GMN.com early in 2001.

GMN will also be publishing exclusive video footage with Mr. Carreras, scheduling regular webcasts and setting up an official José Carreras website.

Like his "Three Tenors" colleague and fellow GMN Artist Plácido Domingo, Mr. Carreras will also be able to bring some of the finest young Spanish talent to a global platform via GMN.com.

GMN Production Director Steve Long said GMN was delighted to be working with José Carreras to bring his music to a worldwide audience. He said: "We are thrilled to be able to commence this special relationship with the webcasts of this celebratory concert recorded live at the Royal Albert Hall. Many more of the plans that GMN has been discussing with José Carreras will come to fruition in the New Year."
