Good Lord, I'm still in awe from this fantastic experience! Today the first Jose Carreras club meeting since 1996 took place at the Ana-Grand Hotel in Vienna. He looked healthy and happy and was as easy as I have never seen him before. His greeting was loving, he said that he missed us and that the next club meeting will be sooner!

We got a marvelous dinner, and then he went from table to table to greet everyone. I sat at the first table, the one that was CLOSE to him. He greeted me, told me that it was HIS pleasure to meet me. He looked at me with those marvelous deer-eyes and asked what my name was, a question that he didn't repeat to anybody else. I told him and he repeated my first name, Catharina, and said that it was beautiful and while he was saying that he looked directly into my eyes.

Can you imagine what this means to me? I won't be swept away by romantic follies now but I enjoyed it that he liked my appearance and myself. We continued to talk and as I told him that my mother had been one of Queen Elisabetta's ladies in waiting when he sang Don Carlo in Salzburg he was surprised and smiled this unforgettable JC-smile. He had to go then and told me that he was glad that he would see me at the concert. Oh my, I was so happy! A BEAUTIFUL evening, an unforgettable experience!!!!
