I just returned home from Fukuoka where José & Domingo's concert was held last night. The concert itself was a typical arena concert just like the 3T formation. José sang almost the same songs as in Detroit, except one zarzuela ‘Bella enamorada’ in place of the ‘Improviso’ and two Japanese songs as encores. José's way of Japanese pronunciation was cute! PD 's way was in almost perfection.

I think Diana is an attractive woman and her songs are not so bad, but, it is not so good to sing together with opera singers. Her key is too low for tenors. Actually, both duets with José and Placido were mismatched, I think.

Overall, José sincerely performed as usual. However, he apparently has a problem with his leg. He limped. He looked pale and thin and his voice seemed to be a little bit weaker than I had heard in the 3T concert in January. I think it was a pity that he had to sing in such bad condition.

I think that he'd better take a long summer vacation, then, return to the stage in good health, and of course, come back again to Japan in November!
