Answer: Mr. Carreras never appeared in any episode of Seinfeld.  An actor named John Lizzi played a character referred to as the "third tenor".  Since, the rest of the Seinfeld cast can only name Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo as the two tenors--it is safe to assume that the nameless "third tenor" was playing the role of Mr. Carreras.
