Music Definitions (Not according to Mr. Webster)

Allegro - Leg fertilizer
Bar line - Gathering of people, some of whom will probably be musicians.
Clef - Something to jump from before the viola solo.
Detache - Trombones playing with slides removed.
Down beat - Whack to the top of the head.
Half step - Pace used by cellists when carrying their instrument.
Interval - How long it takes to find the right note.
Preparatory beat - A threat made to singers.
Tenor - Two hours before a nooner.
Up beat - Whack to chin.
Vibrato - Used by singers to hide the fact they're on the wrong pitch.
