Josep Carreras The royalties from the sales of the book (which has already gone into a second printing after a month in the Spanish book shops) go to the Jose Carreras International Leukaemia Foundation. In the book Carreras discusses 40 of his signature opera roles and gives menus and recipes for dishes that are traditional for the place where the opera's action unfolds - châteaubriand with soufflée potatoes for La Traviata, tiramisú for Tosca, chestnut honey ice-cream for L'elisir d'amore, Madrid-style stew for Don Carlo... The book also includes nutritional information for each of the 125 dishes and comes with a CD of Carreras singing arias from Aida, Carmen, Pagliacci, Turandot, Romeo et Juliette, Don Carlo and La Juive.
